We’ve all heard the news. Maybe some of us are tired of hearing about it. We’ve heard the blame game, who’s fault is it all? Why doesn’t the government do something about it?
The bottom line is that many people have lost everything and everyone has lost something, they are hurting in so many ways, the help is starting to come from all over. But the task is HUGE.
Maybe you have felt somewhat distanced and helpless. Maybe you have wondered, “What can I do?” Here is something you can do and it is pretty close to home.
I happen to believe that it is not the job of the government to take care of us, but rather that God has challenged us to take care of each other. How much more efficient it is to give directly from the giver to the one in need, than to depend on a bureaucracy to do it.
